Burnout, depression, anxiety, a sense of guilt, meaninglessness, worthlessness, loneliness, insecurity? We all have to deal with it – directly or indirectly. Our prosperity is going well and we are making one technological advance after another. And yet we all seem to be becoming more unhappy, anxious and lonely.

Life is a challenge, we all know that. But we don’t know how best to deal with it. We are more familiar with solving a technical problem than with solving a psychological question. We understand the physical nature of the world around us better than our own inner nature. Psychologically we have lagged behind and we are still in the stone age. But what if our inner nature is already naturally happy and healthy and we just need to get to know it better?
It can be done differently!
We all have in equal measure a natural, inner and free capacity to live happily. This inner capacity is the space that we just naturally already have. Nature is the same for all of us. An inner free capacity means that there is always room to answer. The question now is: “How do you do that in a way that really works for you?”

And if you know what works and what doesn’t, you automatically know how to take the right steps. You then no longer lose energy to things that naturally cannot work. Natural skills are the natural, psychological building blocks for a healthy and happy life. They are the natural functions of our consciousness. These are the same for all of us. Everyone has these natural skills in equal measure.
Our natural skills make it possible to respond to what is happening in our lives. They can be summed up in one word: relationship. Relationship is the way we relate to ourselves and our environment. Life is relationship, without relationship there is no life. The degree to which we are familiar with our natural skills – the degree of self-knowledge – determines the quality of our relationships and our lives.
