Precious jewels are everywhere in the cosmos and in each of us.
I’d like to give you a handful, dear friend.
Yes, this morning I want to give you a handful, a handful of diamonds that sparkle from morning to night.
Every minute of our daily life is a diamond that
heaven and earth,
Includes sunshine and river.
We only need to breathe lightly and the miracle unfolds:
Birds that sing, flowers that bloom.
Here is the blue sky, here floats the white cloud,
Your lovely face, your beautiful smile.
All of these are contained in a single jewel.
You who are the richest person on earth
And you act like a failed son,
Please return to your heritage.
Let’s give each other happiness
And learn to be present in the present moment.
Let’s embrace life and let go of distraction and despair.

Kostbare juwelen zijn overal in de kosmos en in ieder van ons.
Ik wil jou er graag een handvol van geven, lieve vriend.
Ja, deze morgen wil ik je een handvol schenken, een handvol diamanten die van de ochtend tot de avond glimmen.
Iedere minuut van ons dagelijks leven is een diamant die
hemel en aarde,
Zonneschijn en rivier omvat.
We hoeven enkel maar licht te ademen en het wonder ontvouwt zich:
Vogels die zingen, bloemen die bloeien.
Hier is de blauwe hemel, hier drijft de witte wolk,
Jouw liefelijke gezicht, jouw mooie glimlach.
Allemaal zijn deze vervat in een enkel juweel.
Jij die de rijkste mens op aarde bent
En je gedraagt als een tekortgekomen zoon,
Keer alsjeblieft terug naar je erfgoed.
Laten we elkaar geluk schenken
En leren om in het huidige moment aanwezig te zijn.
Laten we het leven in onze armen sluiten en verstrooidheid en wanhoop loslaten.
