THE SEVEN COLOURS OF THE SUN’S RAYS

 

Sun rays have seven colours, says the Rig Veda. In at least two mantras, the Veda says that though the Sun’s rays are single and white, they have seven colours. Here is a mantra which explains how.

Swami Shivananda says

We shall have to court sorrows also as blessings from God, our Beloved. Unless a person is wholly resigned to God he or she cannot endure these sorrows and griefs undisturbed.  A genuine devotee, because of his faith in God, is never overwhelmed by these.
