The Ramakrishna Vedanta Society of Holland is a branch of the Ramakrishna Order of India. It is a non-profit, charitable, spiritual and cultural institution. This Centre was in a small house in Amstelveen [near Amsterdam] till April 2020. On 9 april 2020, the Vedanta Society moved to a spacious building near Assen city in Drenthe State.
The Vedanta Centre is located 15 km away from Assen City. in Hoogersmilde.
Assen is a famous city of Drenthe State. The Vedanta Society is situated on the main road, one minute from the SPIERSBRUG bustop. Bus 20 brings you from Assen to the Centre. There are several other optional routes to come to the Vedanta Centre.
The Vedanta Centre is located in a beautiful spot, with many big and small cities around. Here are some cities:
Groningen is 30km, Steenwijk is 23 km, Zwolle is 45 km, Assen is 15km, Hoogeveen is 20 km, Beilen is 9 km, Appelscha is 7 km, Dwingeloo is 8 km. [Dwingeloo is internationally renowned city because of its Radio Observatory], Oranje is 2km [Oranje has a Vacancy Park, which is well known in the region], Diever 7 km, Westerbork is 15 km.
The Venice of the Netherlands, Giethoorn, is 22 km from the Vedanta Society.
It is very easy to come to the Vedanta Centre.
OPTION 1: Take a Train to Steenwijk. Come out of the Steenwijk Station. Go to Bus 20. Get down at the Spiersbrug bus stop. In front is the Vedanta Centre.
OPTION 2: Take a Train to Assen. Come out of the Assen Station. You will see Bus 20. Get down at the Spiersbrug Bushalte. In front of you is the Vedanta Centre.
OPTION 3: By car it is inexpensive and easy to arrive.
NOTE; FROM OCTOBER, YOU CAN STAY OVERNIGHT. ROOMS ARE ALMOST READY

AT THIS MOMENT AT THE CENTRE…
Since 20 July, construction of bathrooms, repair work, repair of ceiling and so on are going on in the Centre. This will continue till the first week of September 2020.
In September 2020, the garden was cleaned and reorganised.
